2006-07: Remains as one of the most consistent players tour, Finished in the top 15 in PBA point rankings for the 3rd consecutive season… Has fourteen top 10 finishes over the last 2 seasons. Made two championship round appearances, finishing 3rd in the Geico Championship falling to John May in the semi finals and 5th in the Pepsi Championship falling to Tony Reyes in the step ladder... Set career high in average at 219.36... Tied for the season lead in 300 games rolled with 6.. Led qualifying in 4 events, also a career high… Has made the match play finals in 11 consecutive Major events… Finished 7th at the US Open, just missing the championship round by 13 pins… Finished 12th at the PBA World Championships, eventually losing to champion Doug Kent.
2005-06: Quietly had one of the most consistent seasons on Tour, posting eight top-10 finishes and finishing seventh in the 2005-06 PBA World Point Rankings… Drastically improved his point ranking for the second consecutive season; went from 42nd in 2003-04 to 15th in 2004-05 to 7th in 05-06… Set a career-high in season earnings… Made two championship round appearances, finishing third in the 2006 Motel 6 Phoenix Classic and second in the 2006 West Virginia Championship… Fell to Del Ballard Jr., 226-201, in the Motel 6 semifinals… In West Virginia, he knocked off Patrick Healey Jr., 226-194, before falling to qualifier Sean Rash, 194-178, in the title match… Started the season strong, finishing in the top-10 in three of the first four events… Finished ninth in the 2005 USBC Masters, the first of his two top-10 finishes in Majors during the season… Made match play in four of the next five events…After finishing second in West Virginia, DeVaney finished fifth in the 63rd U.S. Open… Finished 15th in the 2006 Denny’s World Championship… Went 3-0 in seven-game matches… His four 300 games tied for the Tour lead.
